Red gear promotion costs in Dark War: Survival

Red gear is paid for in three currencies that arrive at different speeds, which is why so many players stall with a pile of one and none of another. This page publishes the whole cost table so you can see where the walls are before you hit them.

Stages, breakthroughs and the three currencies

Each promotion level contains 4 stages, paid in Power Cores and Boost Ore. Clearing them unlocks a breakthrough, which raises the promotion level itself and is the only step that also consumes DX Blueprints. The pattern repeats through every promotion level, with both the stage price and the breakthrough price rising each time.

One piece taken all the way costs 2,350 Power Cores, 705,000 Boost Ore and 150 DX Blueprints.

Reading the curve

  • Boost Ore is the bulk currency — hundreds of thousands per piece — so it is usually the long-term limiter rather than the immediate one.
  • DX Blueprints only appear at breakthroughs, so a shortage stops you dead at a gate rather than slowing you down gradually.
  • Because stage costs rise with promotion level, the same event reward is worth progressively less as you climb.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to fully upgrade one piece of red gear?
Carrying a single piece through every promotion level costs 2,350 Power Cores, 705,000 Boost Ore and 150 DX Blueprints.
What is the difference between a stage and a breakthrough?
Stages are the repeated upgrades inside a promotion level and cost only Power Cores and Boost Ore. A breakthrough is the single step that raises the promotion level itself, and it is the only step that consumes DX Blueprints.
Why do I never have enough DX Blueprints?
DX Blueprints are used exclusively at breakthroughs, in rising amounts — 10 for the first, up to 50 for the last — for 150 per piece. Because they are only spent at gates, a shortage shows up suddenly rather than gradually.
Should I spread upgrades across pieces or finish one?
That depends on your set bonuses and role, which the game determines, not this site. What the calculator can tell you is the exact remaining bill for each option so the comparison is made on real numbers.
