Dark War: Survival red gear upgrade costs
Red gear is the top hero equipment tier in Dark War: Survival, covering the helmet, gun, jacket and boots. Each piece climbs through six Promotion Levels (0 to 5). A level is made of four normal stages plus one breakthrough — the four stages inside a level always cost the same, and only the breakthrough spends DX Blueprints.
Taking one piece from fresh red gear to Promotion Level 5 costs 2,350 Power Cores, 705,000 Boost Ore and 150 DX Blueprints. Maxing all four pieces multiplies those figures by four: 9,400 Power Cores, 2,820,000 Boost Ore and 600 DX Blueprints.

- How many Power Cores does it take to max one red gear piece in Dark War: Survival?
- Taking a single piece from fresh red (Promotion Level 0, Stage 0) all the way to Promotion Level 5 costs 2,350 Power Cores, 705,000 Boost Ore and 150 DX Blueprints. A full four-piece set costs four times that.
- How does red gear promotion work?
- Every Promotion Level contains four normal stages followed by one breakthrough. All four stages inside the same level cost the same amount of Power Cores and Boost Ore. Only the breakthrough consumes DX Blueprints, and it is what actually moves you to the next Promotion Level.
- Do DX Blueprints get used on normal stages?
- No. Normal stages only consume Power Cores and Boost Ore. DX Blueprints are spent exclusively on the five breakthroughs, rising from 10 at the first breakthrough to 50 at the last.
- Which red gear piece should I upgrade first?
- The costs are identical for helmet, gun, jacket and boots, so the order is down to the stats you need. Most players push one piece to a breakthrough at a time rather than spreading stages evenly, because the power spike lands on the breakthrough, not the stages.
