Dark War: Survival tips that actually move the needle
Most 'tips' lists recycle the obvious. These come from the game's own official FAQ — the mechanics players consistently get wrong, plus how to line them up so the same hours produce more power.
CP comes from ten places, not one
Combat Power is the sum of buildings, technology, trained units, territory buffs, official appointment buffs, heroes, equipment, skins, the Mod Vehicle and pets. Players who stall usually max one source and ignore the rest. Tap your CP number to see the full composition and find which slice is smallest for you — that is your cheapest next gain, not another duplicate of your biggest slice.
Note that your world-map march CP can differ from Arena and Champion Duel CP — the modes count different components, so a number that looks wrong usually is not.
Never run dry on Energy
Energy gates how much you can farm each day. The reliable income is the Supply Station's daily claim — collect it every day without fail. The Orange hero Guy adds daily Energy scaled by his Skill 3 level, which makes him one of the few heroes worth investing in even if he never leaves the city. Beyond that, Energy comes from events and Rubies.
Plan your week around Alliance Duel
Alliance Duel scores a different theme every day, so the fastest alliances do not upgrade when they feel like it — they upgrade when it scores:
| Day | Duel theme |
|---|---|
| Monday | City Building · Technology · Gathering |
| Tuesday | Heroes |
| Wednesday | Equipment · Unit Training · Truck Dispatch · Dark Zone Ops |
| Thursday | Radar · Mod Vehicle · City Building · Technology · Wild Monsters |
| Friday | All-Round Development · Pets |
| Saturday | Kills |
| Sunday | Rest Day |
Hold your building finishes for Monday, your hero fragments for Tuesday, your training queues for Wednesday — the same spend scores points instead of going unseen. Saturday is Kills day; shield or fight accordingly.
Shields, teleports and marches — the rules that bite
- A Peace Shield protects the Shelter only. Troops gathering or marching outside are still attackable, and scouting or attacking anything drops your own shield.
- You cannot teleport while troops are marching — recall first, then move.
- There is no daily gathering limit; the constraint is march slots, so keep every queue busy.
- When your city holds fewer units than your marches can carry, the game splits units evenly across troops — useful for spreading damage when hunting monsters on a thin roster.
- Check the Peace Shield log (top of screen → Up Arrow → Peace Shield → Log) before assuming a shield failed — it records exactly why it dropped.
Spend with a plan, not a feeling
The expensive mistakes in Dark War are all visible in advance — the cost of a red gear breakthrough, a weapon's Red Stars or a full chipset is a fixed table. Look the bill up before you start, and events stop catching you half-funded:
Frequently asked questions
- How do I increase CP in Dark War: Survival?
- CP grows from buildings, technology research, unit training, territory and appointment buffs, heroes, equipment, skins, the Mod Vehicle and pets — ten sources, so no single one carries you.
- How do I get more Energy?
- Claim the daily Energy from the Supply Station, level the Orange hero Guy's Skill 3 for daily passive Energy, buy it with Rubies, or earn it in events.
- Why was I attacked while my Peace Shield was up?
- A Peace Shield protects your Shelter only. Troops outside the Shelter can still be attacked, and the shield expires the moment you scout or attack an enemy yourself.
- Is there a daily gathering limit?
- No. There is no cap on how many resources you can gather per day — the limit is your marches and your time.
