Migration

Dark War: Survival migration score and tiers

Your migration score is taken from the historical peak CP of your top three troops. It places you in one of four migration identities — Commander, Elite, Advanced or Backbone — and that identity, not your current power, decides how many slots a destination state has for you and whether you need a Presidential Invite.

The four migration tiers

Thresholds are published in game as a multiple of the number of states in the pool, so the exact CP behind a tier moves between migration seasons. The slot columns are the state's default allocation per tier.

BackboneEveryone else4030Not required
  • Commander is the narrowest tier: one slot in a Regular State and none at all in a Flourishing State, so the destination has to actively want you.
  • Elite gets a single slot in either state type, again behind an invite.
  • Advanced is where meaningful room appears — seven slots in a Regular State, four in a Flourishing one — but still requires an invite.
  • Backbone is everyone else, with the widest allocation and no invite requirement.

Regular vs Flourishing States

Every state in your pool is labelled before the window opens, and the label changes the maths above.

  • Regular StateA standard state in the migration pool with the default migration allocations.
  • Flourishing StateFlourishing States are among the strongest States in their migration pool and have more restricted incoming migration allocations.

In practice this means a strong account aiming at a Flourishing State is competing for one or zero slots, while the same account moving to a Regular State has a realistic path. If the destination has not been announced yet, treat its allocation as unknown rather than assuming the better case.

Presidential Invites

An invite is issued by the destination state, not by an alliance. Because Commander, Elite and Advanced players all need one, the conversation with a recruiter usually has two parts: whether the alliance wants you, and whether their state leadership will actually issue the invite. Confirm both before you plan around the move.

Before the score locks

The one decision that is genuinely yours is timing. Because the score uses your historical peak, a power spike pushed just before a migration season can move you into a tier with fewer available slots, and there is no way back down. If you know you want to move, plan the move first and the spike after. The full migration guide covers the rest of the process, including the checks that block the move itself.

Frequently asked questions

What is the migration score in Dark War: Survival?
It is the value the game derives from the historical peak CP of your top three troops. That value places you in a migration identity — Commander, Elite, Advanced or Backbone — which then decides how many destination slots are open to you and whether you need a Presidential Invite.
Can I lower my migration score?
No. The score uses your historical peak combat power, so removing gear, unequipping chips or dropping troops after the lock does not reduce it. Any plan that depends on landing in a lower tier has to be made before the peak is set.
What is the difference between a Regular State and a Flourishing State?
A Regular State is a standard destination with the default migration allocations. A Flourishing State is among the strongest states in its migration pool and has more restricted incoming allocations, so fewer slots are available at every tier.
Who needs a Presidential Invite?
Commander, Elite and Advanced players need a Presidential Invite from the destination state. Backbone players can migrate without one while the state still has slots free.
Are the slot numbers per alliance?
No. They are the state's default allocation per tier, not an individual alliance's recruitment need. An alliance inside that state can still be full even when the state has slots left.
