How the Dark War: Survival chip system works
The Modding Workshop gives every troop type — Fighter, Shooter and Rider — its own chipset of four chips: Assault, Vanguard, Suppression and Gravity. Each chip is levelled with copies of itself, and each star is split into Star Rise checkpoints, so a single star can take several separate payments before it completes.
Chips run from 1★ to 5★ in Orange, then continue through Red 1 to Red 5. Getting one chip all the way to Red 5 costs 500 copies, and a full four-chip set costs 2,000 copies — the equivalent of 1,600,000 Advanced Chip Material at 800 material per chip.
Resonance sits at the centre of the board and is derived from the four chips rather than bought directly: it matches the lowest star level in the set. That makes an even spread the fastest route to Resonance, while focusing one chip is only worth it when you specifically want its stat.

A single chip taken from 0 to 10 stars (Red 5) costs 500 copies of that chip across every Star Rise checkpoint.
How much Advanced Chip Material is one chip worth?
800 Advanced Chip Material crafts one chip, so a fully maxed single chip is worth 400,800 Advanced Chip Material and a full four-chip set is 1,603,200.
How does Resonance work?
Resonance is derived from the four installed chips: it matches the lowest star level in the set. Levelling one chip ahead of the others does not raise Resonance.
Should I spread chips evenly or focus one?
For Resonance you must raise the lowest chip, so even spread wins. For raw troop stats, focus the chip that matches your role — Assault for attack, Gravity for damage reduction.
